Together, they face seemingly insurmountable odds – including deadly adversaries in the Career Tributes, extreme emaciation, mutated wolves, and a life-threatening bout of blood poisoning for Peeta which leaves him with a tenuous grasp on life until Katniss is able to get him the medicine he needs from the cornucopia.
